We offer a range of workshops to help teachers enhance their ability to enable and support students to find their unique voices, speak out and to develop key oracy and public speaking skills.
Workshops and learning sessions can be adapted to suit a variety of areas of the curriculum.
A core aspect of our training is to equip teachers, including trainees, with a raft of drama based skills and confidence, so that they can best meet the needs of the new curriculum being introduced in Sept 2027.
We offer bespoke training sessions for INSETs, Twilights, Teacher Training Courses, staff of arts and creative organisations who work in Education, Local Authority teaching network sessions and others. Please contact me to see how I can answer your needs.
Sessions will begin with an engaging introductory exercise to create a warm and inviting atmosphere, encouraging participants to share their unique needs and perspectives. As we transition into exploring key areas of development, attendees will feel empowered to express themselves freely, overcoming any personal barriers to self-expression. Aligned with the overarching goals crafted in collaboration with the host organization, the outcomes will be confident and articulate educators, better equipped to embrace the exciting challenges of the new curriculum.
Sessions can be purchased as set or bespoke depending on requirements. Current range of packages include:
ARTiculate – a day’s CPD course providing teachers with a toolkit of drama games and exercises which can be used to promote creativity and confidence in developing student’s oracy skills in the classroom and across the curriculum.
ELOquence – a set of sessions designed to support teacher trainees to unlock their own potential in drama and play work in the classroom, linking this to different primary curriculum subjects.
VIRTUosity – a course built for arts and creative educators working within organisations that operate in schools, to help with the promotion of drama and theatre skills as a tool to unlocking oracy. This course focusses more on how the participants can bring their own talents and professionalism to bear in conjunction with the demands of the primary curriculum.
Other current areas of focus for teacher CPD within schools could be:
How to talk with confidence
How to speak to power and politics
How to talk about sex and relationships
How to talk about gender
How to speak to our creative selves
How to speak up about current crisis and political views
